The above album cover is of Seattle's very first Northwest Metalfest compilation record which featured 10 bands including ours and
was distributed all over the world. The picture on the right is taken from the back of that cover. Open Fire was a high energy rock
band and pretty much everybody got a workout at gigs. Our tune on Northwest Metalfest was called Cry For The Nations. You can click

By 1986, Open Fire had mutated into Phoenixx (1986-89) with the addition of Ricky Dunn on guitar and Freddy Krumins
replacing Greg Costa on lead vocals. Unlike Open Fire, in which we played a lot of covers for the club circuit, we favored mostly
original material in Phoenixx. I was glad for the change because it helped me hone my songwriting skills. What I've become now as
a musician is the result of my involvement with both bands. Phoenixx was, in my opinion, world-class. We did record our
music but never released it. One of my favorite tunes was called That Side Of You. You can click on the picture to
